PAPERWORK FOR WEDDINGS IN ZAKYNTHOS (ZANTE ISLAND) GREECE
To arrange your special day we will need the following paperwork:
For your wedding we need the following;
A photocopy of
Passports for the bride and groom.
Full birth certificates for the bride and groom ( a short version is not acceptable)
Decree absolute (if divorced),
Deed poll certificate (if a name has been changed)
Adoption papers
Death certificate (if either party has been bereaved)
The banns must be applied for at your town hall no earlier that 2 months before the date of your wedding, the document which we need is given to you 21 days later.
If you are already married and would like to renew your vows you do not need any paperwork.
All the above paper need to be posted registered mail or faxed to me no later than 3 weeks before the date of your wedding in order to start the process of translating. If you fax them to me, you must remember to bring the originals with you, when you have a meeting with your wedding co-ordinator.
All photocopies must be stamped and signed by the Apostile Hague Convention. This signifies that they are considered the same as the originals.
